Rejoice Always
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Never Give Up
We will always be battered in this life. Physical limitations. Cruel people. Spiritual battles. But God is with us. He promises never to abandon us. And He renews our spirits even during the struggles. We can keep going in this life and look with anticipation to the next.
Whatever You Do
God reveals Himself to us, and we are to mirror Him. He created, and at the end He said, “It was good.” So whatever it is that you do—do it well. Do it with purpose. Do it for Him. And at the end of the day, you can say, “It was good.”
Open My Eyes
Days have a way of blending into each other. The repetition of life dulls our senses until our world can become gray. But like refreshing rain, God gives us splashes of joy to color our world and to help us see with new eyes.
Teach Us to Pray
Have you ever noticed that our best intentions to make time to talk to God fall short? We prepare to pray, yet our minds wander and every distraction is magnified. That’s when we simply bow our hearts and say, “Lord, teach us to pray!”
Through It All
God not only created us and knows us, but He is in tune to our every thought and emotion. He is there when we are anxious, excited, nervous, delighted, and heartbroken. He is there, and He understands.
Ocean-Polished Glass
It starts as broken glass. Ruined. Thrown away. But then something amazing happens. Over time, the useless shards are rolled and tumbled until something beautiful is created. It’s just like how God takes our broken pieces and crafts beauty.
Refuge
God formed the earth, created everything in it, and knows every detail of His masterpiece. He is perfect and powerful, yet He wants to know you intimately. He wants you to call on Him, and He will be your protector. Your rescuer. Your refuge.
Into This Darkness
Darkness. The world was in darkness. But we knew the Light was coming because God promised His arrival. Suddenly, one night so long ago, He came bursting into our world as a baby. And just like the morning sun, He overcame the dark of night and gave us hope.
Baby Boy
A baby boy. That’s how God chose to save the world. It was God’s plan to send His Son in the flesh, and it’s His plan to affect every one of us through this gift. So trust in His purpose, no matter what your role, because He loves you so.
For God So Loved
Christmas is a time of wonder. It’s a time when people from all nations can join together and ponder the humble birth of a baby who came to earth as part of God’s plan. And it was simply because He loved us.
Shared Struggles
Struggles are a part of life. But that doesn’t mean we have to face them alone. God tells us to “share each other’s burdens” because He knows that helps. So find your strength in God and the people He brings into your life to ease the load.
Something New
Seared in the fire. Crafted into perfection. Ready to be used. Just as the craftsman refines a tool for a select purpose, we were created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God has already given you ambitions and directions. Go fulfill them.
